| George Lewis was born c.1778 in New Hanover County, and moved with his family to what is now Marion County, SC as a young lad. George Lewis acquired a tract of land in Horry County, SC in 1805, but he moved to Georgia before 1810. George died in Georgia circa 1849 and most (if not all) of his children returned to Marion County, SC. | ||||
