In researching the land transactions of early Horry County, SC, Zachariah buys and sells land from 1801 to 1809, some to his cousins of the Josiah Lewis, Jr. family of Horry County, SC.

Zachariah Lewis sold 50 acres of land to Jonah Lewis in 1805, and this transaction was witnessed by Samuel Lewis of Horry County - indicating that Zachariah was possibly related to Jonah (so far, not identified by the Author) and to Samuel.
