This William Lewis arrived as a young lad with his parents in what is present-day Town Creek, Brunswick County, NC in the 1720s - apparently from the Bertie, NC area where he allegedly grew up. All three of his sons moved inland to Bladen County in the 1750s. Samuel and William then went on the Duplin County in the late 1750s/early 1760s - what is now Sampson County. |
