Robert Burnet Lewis and wife Virginia show up in the 1900 Census for Brunswick County, NC - apparently arriving in the 1880s or 1890s. Thanks to Louis Inman of Brunswick County, NC for providing updates in May 2004 to my original research. Robert's parents were Jacob Lewis and Janie Wilson of Carteret County, NC.

Robert was born August 10, 1857 in Carteret County, NC and he died on December 25, 1919. Virginia Catherine Holden was born December 14, 1862 in Brunswick County, NC and she died on October 18, 1942. Both are buried at Old Smithville Cemetary in Southport, NC.
