| Peter Lewis can be found in the Censuses for
Georgetown County in 1800 and 1830, then disappears from the
Author's scope - perhaps moving away, perhaps dying. The Author
is not 100% sure that his father was Benjamin Lewis, but deed
transactions seem to indicate a relationship. The only other
possible father would be William Henry Lewis (of another Lewis
family) of Horry County, SC. Additionally, some county records
indicate that Peter's wife's name was Harriett, perhaps with
the last name of Green. |
