| Edmund Jasper Lewis was born in Georgetown District,
SC (present-day Marion County) in 1792, and moved "south
and west" along with his parents circa 1822 - perhaps stopping
for a few years in Darlington County, SC, before heading to Alabama
where he settled for the remainder of his life. Edmund Jasper
Lewis and Mira Ann Jeter are buried in the Old Bethel Primative
Baptist Church Cemetary in Pintlala, Alabama (Montgomery County). |
